Received my first animal injury today (besides a squirrel bite) from the talon of a red tail hawk to the back of the head. It was an accident — I was cleaning another kennel in ICU and happened to lean my head back too far in front of his door and he got me through the cage. Nothing serious, a scratch (said Mercutio, as he died hahaha JK), but it did draw blood. Oh well, it’s to be expected when working in my field.

In other news, the snowy owl was flying really well around the perimeter of the raptor flight facility today! Here is a video from FOX News who did coverage on our snowy owl. :)
